In 2014 Yulu-Burri-Ba signed an agreement with the Queensland Government Department to establish a new community controlled primary health care clinic in Wynnum.
The aim was for Yulu-Burri-Ba to deliver culturally appropriate, best practice, evidence based comprehensive primary healthcare, including chronic disease health education, prevention and early intervention services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people living in this catchment area.
A successful search for a suitable location resulted in the purchase of existing premises, conveniently located in Edith Street, Wynnum.
Grant funds were used to completely refurbish the premises to create modern treatment and consulting rooms; Mums and Bubs space, as well as office and administration areas. Funding was received from Queensland Health to operate the Clinic which included capital works and renovations. Renovations were completed in January 2016 and the clinic opened for operation on January 2016.
