Our Mums and Bubs program will be run at Yulu-Burri-Ba every week. Child and Maternal Health professionals will be on hand to talk and discuss issues regarding Parenthood, Pregnancy, Nutrition, Physical Activity and Child Health issues. We will also conduct Adult and Child Health Checks during these sessions. The session will be run by our AHW Child and Maternal Health and our AHW Women's Health and will also be attended regularly by Midwives, Child and Maternal Health Workers and our Yulu-Burri-Ba General Practitioners.
There will be fun and educational activities for children whilst the parents attend informational and educational sessions.
It also helps you feel stronger, more energetic and happie r, as well as improving your overall quality and enjoyment of life. Join us twice a week and enjoy the benefits of regular physical activity. Our group caters for all levels of fitness as we enjoy the social support that keeps us all motivated.
Our Men's Shed is open to all Men that would like to participate in various activities such as wood working, boat repairs, bbq repairs, bike repairs and more or you can come in and have a go at your own project, there will also be yarning sessions, group discussions and general health topic discussions. The Men's Shed is on Tuesday's and Wednesday's from 10:00am to 2:00pm and is located at Dunwich (behind Centrelink).

The Alcoholics Anonymous program at the Dunwich Learning Centre, We have a visiting Alcoholics Anonymous facilitator, who is available to conduct individual sessions as well as group yarning circles. Program participants are given the opportunity to chair the meeting to gain self confidence and raise their self esteem. Transport is available for participants.
Come along to our Women's Group on a Thusrsday at 10:00am, located at the Learning Centre, Dunwich. The Women enjoy Arts and Crafts activities from such as knitting, crocheting, weaving and more. Morning tea and a light lunch is also provided. All women are welcome to participate and transport is also available.

The 12 week program includes: weekly 45 minute educational sessions delivered by allied health professionals weekly individually tailored one hour group exercise sessions one-on-one meetings with health professionals to aid in self management strategies which are unique to the individual chronic disease.

Yulu-Burri-Ba encourages anyone interested, to participate in our Community Garden Program. Gardening is a form of low level exercise and this program is a great way to get out and about and learn about about growing your own herbs and vegetables. Our Community Garden is built on a series of raised garden beds, which is located behind Yulu-Burri-Ba (Straddie) next to Moopi Aged Care Hostel.
